Dead? Not yet!

7 10 2008

While it may indeed appear that either I or this blog had died I am happy to announce that we’re both still alive…

Not to be one to make excuses for my lack of posting but a severe ear infection (won’t go into details but I will say blood and ear. You do the math!) amongst other personal arrangements made posting very difficult. To add to this I have begun writing for Instinctive Gaming. So this may no longer be a ‘tech’ blog and may end up becoming a personal blog for me to blab on about things in my life, aswell as what matters to me.

If there were any ‘regulars’ or ‘fans’ of this blog (Who am I kidding. Right?) please check out Instinctive Gaming.

Quick Update!

9 09 2008

Just wanted to give you guys a quick insight as to why this blog has quite abruptly come to a full stop. Most of the tools used by myself to gather/research the information for this blog are locked on my Macbook! and by locked away I mean the battery has died and the power cord has broken. However a new one is on its way order shall soon be restored. So please, don’t go anywhere as updates are on the horizon.

Free iPhone 3G?

1 09 2008

So by the title of the post you’ve probably realized this post has nothing to do with the news. It does however entail getting a ‘Free’ iPhone 3G. Now you’re probably screaming “it’s a scam” at the computer screen, and I’ll agree I used to think so too, but after seeing the people on exceem.co.uk that have received their ‘Free’ gifts from these sites I had to try it myself.

Going about getting a ‘Free’ iPhone 3G is fairly simple, Choose your model (More referral’s needed for higher spec models), Complete an Offer, Refer some friends.

So I ask you all to check it out, or even just let me know what you think.

Market

New information of Androids ‘Market’ was released today on the Android Dev Blog. Amongst the information they released they spoke of how developers would only need to “register as a merchant, upload and describe your content and publish it.”, a system they described similar to the Youtube way of uploading Video. When commenting on why the term ‘Market’ was used instead of store they said,

“We chose the term “market” rather than “store” because we feel that developers should have an open and unobstructed environment to make their content available.”

Far Cry 3 set for Antartica?

29 08 2008

With Far Cry 2 set for an October launch the guys at Ubisoft Montreal are probably taking a well earned break, right? Wrong, Ubisoft Montreal have already begun working on the initial stages of the sequel to Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3. Speaking at the Leipzig Games Convention, Ubisofts Patrick Redding confirmed a third game, saying,

“We might find something new and compelling about the Antarctic setting that wants us to make the next game there, but honestly, we’re still at the preliminary stages.”

Redding then went on to say,

“If we wanted to make the next game set in the… forest of South America, we could do it, but I think to save time, for us, one of the reasons we chose to use the African setting is because we felt that in order to retain the Far Cry brand value, of an exotic, dangerous environment, a place that maybe people haven’t had a chance to see themselves, or have seen extensively in film, television and other games, we wanted to choose Africa.”
